PROGRAM:  Today our guest speakers were Commander Glen J. Flora Joyce Herbert     VFW Post 226 Historical Veterans Museum and Museum Tour Coordinator Jackie George, Esquire 

• October 12th Centennial Gala @ The Chandelier 
• Museum is open Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
• Each Saturday will be a new topic  
• They organize Field trips for kids and senior citizens 
• Numerous heroes just in Bayonne 
• Flag day is when they burn the old flags.  Before burning the stars are removed and given out to the visitors
• Jackie George spoke about her father being in WW2 and the Korean War also how  she was born in Chicago and was raised in Japan and went to international schools with children from all over the world
• Voted on Donation for Walk Against Alzheimer's
• Registered as a group Bayonne Rotary Club

• Taste of Bayonne Nov. 21st @ the Bayonne Museum. We are accepting pre-made baskets, items to fill baskets or cash donation for Dr. McGeehan to shop for you 
• Michael to revamp website including hub for whats going on and events
• Members at the meeting had their picture taken and will need to add their bio to the site. 
• Nicole Sexton spoke about Interact they voted in a new President and Vice President
• Children available to volunteer for events
• Change of seasons clothes drive 
• Plant wildflowers along Avenue A 

On June 20, 2020 we will have our 100th Anniversary Celebration at the Chandelier.  Dr. Patsy McGeehan is Chairperson and Cindi is Co-Chair.  We will need help on various committees.  I encourage every member to be on the committee where their skills will be best put to use.  Further details to follow.
