Cindy Guarini, President of the Bayonne Rotary Club brought the meeting to order at 6:25 PM. Shen then introduced our guest speaker Angelique Belll- President of The Bayonne Youth Center. Angelique started by thanking the Bayonne Rotary Club for always including BYC in all that we do for the community. She proceeded to discuss the following:
BYC was founded in 1945 by Sabrina Jackson to close the gap between home and school. It was a place where young students can go and get home work assistance.
Location of BYC is 20th Street and Kennedy Blvd. in Bayonne, NJ They have been in this location since 1965
Angelique Bell has been with BYC for 13 years. She was introduced to the BYC at a Tricky Tray Party supporting The Women's Club. Partnered with the BPD youth organization looking for Big Brother, Big Sister Program which was originally started with the BPD Mentorship Program
After school Marsha Jordon from 2:30-5:30nPM to assist with homework and to socialize with other students.
BYC has a Give Thanksgiving initiative that feeds over 700 families
They also feed seniors for Thanksgiving at the East 21st Street Senior Building and the 51st Street Senior Building. They feed over 200 seniors a sit down dinner

Theatrical Program their recent performance was Matilda
Yoga Lessons throughout the year for adults and kids
Art Program throughout the year for grades 3-7
Art Show at the Library
Uniform Programs: Full sets pants, shirts, t-shirts sweat pants and sweatshirts
Black History Contest Essay/ Poster 5th, 6th and 7th Grade
