PROGRAM:There was no guest speaker today,our guest speaker had to cancel at the last minute
Today we discussed the Taste of Bayonne event held November 21, 2019. Interact students did a great job voted on giving the interact students a pizza party for all their help
- Virginia thanked all members for making The Taste of Bayonne a success
- Discussed Taste of Bayonne Comments and what we can improve on next year
- We had too many pasta dishes , need more volunteers not enough support, event needs to be planned more in advance, when restaurants commit to donate we need find out what they will be donating or offer suggestions on what we need
- We need to double up on coffee and deserts we ran short on both. Rev. Patterson informed that she has a large coffee pot.
- We have to be more prepared for the small items that we need such as knife, coffee cups, milk, sugar and tea.
- Thank you letters to be sent to all restaurants who participated, Update Facebook page with the restaurants.
- Call restaurants to confirm time of pick and delivery
- Voted that we will do the Taste of Bayonne again next year and Dr. McGeehan suggested we do a Christmas theme,also discussed making a budget for the event.
- $100.00 donation was given by Rhonda the mother of RYLA student from Marist High School for the gifts for the children at the Christmas luncheon.
- Our Facebook page needs to be updated
FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DESK:
On June 20, 2020 we will have our 100th Anniversary Celebration at the Chandelier. Dr. Patsy McGeehan is Chairperson and Cindi Sisk-Galvin is Co-Chair. We will need help on various committees. I encourage every member to be on the committee where their skills will be best put to use. Further details to follow.
