At the meeting the members were updated on the status of planned events and we identified and agreed upon of projects/activities to conduct under the current circumstances.
Key points included:
100th anniversary celebration - Postponed to 2021 - Date and format will be determined at a later date.
Installation of 2020 /2021 Officers - Scheduled for Tuesday June 23 at a Networking Event.
Finances - Only fixed expenses and donations to the community.
April 28 paint night - Cancelled and the new date will be determined later.
Citizenship breakfast - Cancelled. We are coordinating with the schools to honor the recipients.
Scholarships - Provide more than onescholarshipin celebration of our 100th anniversary. Make scholarships available to all Bayonne residents regardless of where they attend school.
Facebook - Consolidate the two pages (Rotary Club of Bayonne) and (Bayonne Rotary Club). The intent is to have Rotary Club of Bayonne as the only page.
Community Service - .Provide meals/food to necessary health care workers at: McCabe Ambulance, Care Point and Saint Barnabas.
Meetings - Held every two weeks using the conference call dial number initially and transferring to Zoom afterwards. Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday April 21st via audio call.
