This was our first meeting after our Summer Hiatus. Cindi welcomed back all members.
The following are subjects that were discussed at the meeting.
Increase of Membership through out the District:
The District in a whole is currently under in memberships.
Each club is asked to recruit at least 2 members by the end of August. That is 150 new memberships District wide. If we do not reach this goal of memberships as we will be absorbed by another District.
Trex Recycle Program:
We have met the plastic goal of 500 pounds. We will need to go to Rev. Paterson's warehouse to weight plastic. We are asking for volunteers to assist. Time and date to be determined. Once plastic is weighed Rev. Paterson offered her church van to bring the plastics to Kohls in Wayne, New Jersey. Again we are asking for Volunteers to load the plastic into the van. Cindi and Donna will also drive to drop off location. The final step to this is to pick out the bench and choose the location to place the bench. The new park on 26th and 27th street and Avenue C near City Hall is a possible location.
Proposed Events and Fundraisers for the 2021-2022 year:
September 2021- Last year we sold out 100 tickets quickly. we will try and sell more tickets than last year.
September 23, 2021-Mental Health Panel on Zoom. There will also be a webinar and in person sessions available. Victor Llerena from Journey's Counseling, Mike Stanlaw from Stanlaw Fitness and other mental health advocates.
October/November:

Taste of Bayonne
November 2021: Thanksgiving Day Pool
December: Plant Sale- This year there will be different options.
